<p>but i would apply for the honors program if i were you, if you can write a good essay, that could be a saftey too.</p>

<p>matteisn....does one have to apply to the honors college? i thought just the top percentage of applicants were automatically placed into it?</p>

<p>You are definitely a good match for UMich. I go to a competitive school myself, and they tend to recognize how the difficulty of the workload differs from school to school. UMich likes to see good SAT scores and standardized test scores so you shouldn't have to worry about admittance.</p>
