Michigan Deferred transfer Admission Letter?

I got a letter in the mail saying that while I would fit in at UM they need to wait and see how many people end up applying and they will re-evaluate me in April when all the applications are in. Did anyone else get this? I'm assuming this is similar to being differed? I guess its better than being rejected? I found the letter pretty vague and confusing.

hi nharmon91,

did your wolverine access status state that your decision will arrive in the mail, or did it state that you were deferred?

Don’t worry too much about it! If they did not want you, they would have flat out rejected you.

Ask the admission’s office if you can send them any supplementary materials or perhaps a persuasive letter or essay.

Yea, I just thought it was very vague and kind of strange, I was wondering if anyone else got this letter. There website says they accept additional materials so I may write another essay or something and send it in.

wow, I have not received anything

I think I am pretty much in same condition as you .

Well I was rejected last week after receiving that letter a week earlier

Are you guys trying to transfer in as sophomores or juniors? What are your stats?
