helllo,
is anyone aplying to either the adelia cheever program or the lloyd hall scholars program? is anyone considering or considered both? if so, what made you pick one over the other? to everyone who knows anythin about the two program, which one seems better/more interesing/whatever...?..lol...
i'm just really confused right now and have no idea which one to apply for or weather i should apply for any. and since they both require an one year commitment, i wouldn't want to make a bad decision.

is anyone applying to any other learning community?

where do i find information on learning communities? Also, anyone doing that mentorship program, or does anyone who has done it before have any comments on it?

Information on the MLCs should be on your housing app...I personally applied to the HLSS one.

floater- I actually had a chance to stay overnight in the Alice Llyod Hall housing and meet students who participate in it, most of them do have a general interest in that field and do group related trips and such (they had to see some plays with others from the same prog). I don't know too much about the Adelia Cheever one though.

I think that MLCs are an opportunity to make the student body seem smaller by grouping you with other people who share the same interests, also the housing is on Central Campus, that can't be bad!

The Adelia Cheever program is a multicultural program that is housed on the 1st 2 floors of Newberry it is all female but the girls in the program are extremely nice. I wasn't in the program but since I live in Barbour I knew most of them. The Lloyd program i know less about the program except that it does attract the NY crowd of students. FYI Jimmy not all of them are housed on central....but also the Hill but thats essentially central campus also.

The Bean- I participated in mentorship in this past all...it was amazing I met great people and it was a great transition group from a small HS to UM...
Any other questions feel free to ask me...I have friends ALL over campus in every housing situation...
