The number of Michigan administrators and alums who go on to lead other universities is impressive to say the least. In recent years, Michigan alums and/or administrators have been presidents of Columbia, Cornell, MIT, Princeton, UVa and now Dartmouth.

Not to mention Marvin Krislov, the former Vice President and General Counsel at Michigan (and formerly my boss), who is now President at Oberlin.

what’s oberlin? That’s the eurotrip college right?

OMG! I got the email too!

Berkeley as well.
New Chancellor taught at Michigan in the past. Mentioned a great university is made greater if it’s public.

Congrats on your new chancellor UCB. Please keep Jennifer Granholm too. :-)

“Mentioned a great university is made greater if it’s public.” And mentioned that it was at the University of Michigan where he first learned that! ;)

Another cool morsel; 6 of Cornell’s 12 presidents have been affiliated to Michigan, including Andrew Dickson White, Cornell’s co-founder and first president.

Also, two of MIT’s last four presidents (Vest and Wiesner) were Michigan alums and employees.

That Jennifer Granholm is crazy! I watched her speech at the Dem convention.

Took a minicourse he taught this semester, nice guy I’m sure he’ll do well at Dartmouth.
