Congrats!!! Was it an email or snail mail? Can you also see it in the portal?

Snail mail only. There’s no update on the portal on the financial aid tab on this.

It’s a regular sized envelope, that felt a little thicker because it was 2 sheets of paper. I could tell from feeling it on the outside that there was some scholarship info inside. Fingers crossed for everyone else waiting to hear. MSU seems to be on it.

My daughter received it in the mail today. Michigan State is looking like a very good option. They’ve offered:
*Honors College
*$28,000/year merit ($15k regular and $13k honors)
*$3-5k Study Abroad grant
*$3600/year Professorial Assistantship for the 1st two years
*Residential Business Living Community with guaranteed admission to the Business School

Thats awesome . This far my daughter has been offered $17500 out of state scholarship, $5000 honors and the $3-5000study abroad. We are still awaiting any additional honors scholarship. If they bump her honors to the $13k it’s definitely a new consideration.

Seems like she will probably get the additional honors $ - especially since she was offered the $17.5k initially

Wow!!! Same with my son. Is she going to take it? Looks like MSU is going to be 75% in person for the fall too. What major?

Hi I just came across this thread, I got into the honors program in MSU for chemical engineering! I was accepted into the honors college along the $13000 annual scholarship in around mid-feb. I was also awarded the $25000 annual international scholarship! I’m very fortunate to have received this much money and it really makes college affordable for my family! :relaxed:

Are you an international applicant?

Thank you so much! and yes! Im an international applicant:)

Thank you!

My D received a letter today bumping up her Honors merit to 13k, so also at 28k/yr merit. No Professorial Assistantship, but still a very good deal. She liked the campus, but did not love it. We will have to see how things elsewhere finalize…

Yeah we also visited the MSU campus today. It was certainly pretty with the river and the quaint buildings but somehow didn’t do it for my son.

woohoo! I received the scholarship update from Honors College, which bumped up my total aid to $38k + the professorial assistantship. Now, UofArizona is out of the question, so it’s between University College London and Michigan State University for me. A battle of prestige vs cost, I guess.

Hi

Congrats on such amazing looking scholarships and RBC acceptance.
By any chance could you tell if all of it was awarded on their own or if your daughter applied and negotiated .

Also, the 5K Honors scholarship is something they include in the Honors program offer or later when student accept the offer.

My child is also waiting to hear about Honors scholarship . Honors program offer has lately been sent to him.
