Michigan State University to University of Michigan

I am a second semester freshman at MSU. I want to transfer to UofM. My first semester GPA was a 3.2. I am interested in Nursing and i want to enroll in the college of nursing at uofm. I want to transfer junior year. The only extra curricular activity i have is that i volunteered.
this semester i am taking 14 credits instead of 16. what are my chances of getting in? and what can i do to improve my chances??

You're transferring... next year then? So Fall 2008?

Your GPA is low on the competitive scale for UMich (depends on your HS score right now), but if you can bring that up to a 3.5-3.7, you shouldn't have too much trouble.

Note: 3.5-3.7 is the most competitive student's GPA (supposedly is what the adcoms told me)

ur totally fine! ur totally gonna get in! keep that gpa high ~

i graduated HS with a 3.7...for my first college semester i had a 4.0, 3.5, 3.5, 3.0, and a 2.0-which clearly brought me down
