Which one is better in every aspect?
I'll like to know the pros and cons of both please

Well, I go to Michigan. I think they are both good schools, I picked Michigan mainly because I prefer Ann Arbor to East Lansing. I am more comfortable in Ann Arbor, it is closer to where I live and I feel safer there. I liked their political science program better. I have yet to find a dorm here as tiny as my cousin’s was at MSU, from what I hear we are pretty lucky here in that department in most buildings but my experience is certainly not a representative sample. I was also really interested in Michigan law and like to pretend being here for undergrad will help me get my foot in the door. We also have more student organizations than any other university system in the country, so I am told. Coming from a community college with hardly any clubs that really intrigued me, and I found over a hundred organizations that interested me.

I have very little experience with State as I applied and was accepted but chose not to go, so I realize my assessment is one sided. I’ve just provided you with why I chose one over the other.

There are SO many different facets to analyze though, it’s hard to (objectively) compare the two without some specific factors that interest you in particular.

The two schools are very different. If you take a visit to each this will be apparent to you. Michigan State is a state university with strong programs. Michigan is an elite university that happens to be publicly funded. The student body at Michigan is more diverse geographically, the admissions at Michigan are much more selective and as a general rule the academic programs at Michigan are recognized as being stronger. The courses at Michigan are also more rigorous and this is not for everyone. Michigan State also has unique programs that are highly well regarded and are not available at Michigan. Michigan State has certain residential colleges such as James Madison that are well regarded and if you are looking for a residential college of this type it may not be available at Michigan. Michigan State has a better basketball team.
