Michigan Will Bounce Back!!!

BOW BEFORE THE PAC-10

Get ready for another Rose Bowl loss, the little 11 has no chance in Pasadena this year.

Plus I bet guys wouldn't mind if the buckeyes lost to Washington this Saturday, yes?

Yeah, I bet you won't feel so confident when Jeff Tedford is interviewed for the Michigan job this winter...enjoy him while it lasts

sbdad, you read into my comment to deeply. I do not disagree at all that academically the school has elevated through the years. I simply said it wasn't the same anymore. Possibly it's not as attractive to the top notch athletes these days, who knows.

OK, sorry. I'm just trying to understand how, in your view, it is not the same - positive or negative.

Michigan didn't have a single player drafted on the first day in 2006. For a school that consistently gets 4* and 5* recruits, that's pathetic. Nearly every prospect that comes out of Michigan comes with the label "underachiever". Gabe Watson, Alan Branch, and nearly all of the Michigan WRs over the years (David Terrell, Braylon Edwards, Marquise Walker).

Well -

In 2006 – FL only had 3 players drafted, one in the 2nd round and the other 2 in the 6th and 7th rounds (how pathetic!).

In 2007, UM had 7 players drafted, including 1 in the 1st round and 3 in the 2nd round (all defensive players) – and if Long, Hart and Henne had opted for the draft (which they should have knowing the condition of the D), UM would have likely had 10 players drafted on the 1st day.

1n 2005 – UM has 2 1st rounders and 1 2nd rounder.

Can't just pick out ONE year - these things are cyclical and pretty much every FB factory has an off year with regard to the NFL draft.

Oh please - Wash St. looked really good against Wisconsin and Oregon St. looked awesome against Cincy.

While the Pac 10 has won the last 3 Rose Bowl match-ups (with USC playing in 2 of 3), the B10 won the 4 before that (and it's unlikely that USC will be playing in the Rose Bowl this year).

And remember, the Rose Bowl is a home game for teams like USC and UCLA (I doubt the Pac-10 would fare as well if the game was played in Soldier Field in Chicago).

OBrien, LLLLLoyd didn't give Braylon #1 until his junior year. Did he "earn it"? Not really. He always had the talent, just never had the concentration and work ethic to show to the coaching staff that he deserved it. Hence the mental lapses, the dropped passes, that attitude concerns. He never was a captain of the team. You can be close to the program yet never show leadership skills.

I'm not confusing NFL potential to production, but I'm saying you're ignorant if you believe there isn't a correlation between the two. Edwards has a big year so far and has not yet lived up to the billing as a #3 overall pick in a draft. His numbers are not impressive. He's just an over-hyped Antonio Bryant at this point. He's not even the #1 option on his team, strange considering he was the #3 overall pick.

I know he gave if to him his junior year. I said he matured (meaning as an upperclassman) from his freshman and sophomore year. Also, neither you nor anyone else (including myself) can say that Braylon Edwards did not legitimately "earn" the number 1. The players said it, the coaches said it, and Bo said it. Are dropped passes mental lapses? No more so than missed blocks or bad routes, it just so happens that Braylons mistakes (which were few and far between as a senior and junior) are more easily recognizable. As far as being a captain, well...Henne was not elected a captain and (not including this year) he has shown great leadership. Whatever, I don't really care to pursue this argument, we both have our own opinions...although it does seem your resentment towards Michigan has little to do with football.

Florida also fired the coach in 2005 which might explain the poor draft in 2006. The guy stunk and so did his players.

^ What?

Do you even know what you're talking about?

The FL coach who was fired was the Zookster (currently Illinois' HC) who, while a mediocre game day coach, is one heck of a recruiter (look at what he's done at UI even though they have hardly won a game in 3 yrs.).

In 2003 - FL had the 2nd best recruiting class in the nation (UM's class was ranked 17th) and in 2004, the 7th best.

Exactly with whom's talent do you think Urban Meyer won a National Championship with at Florida?

0-2 and unranked Michigan vs 0-2 and unranked Notre Dame. Michigan has the most wins, the best all-time record and the most AP points of any team in all of College Football. Notre Dame is #2 in all of those categories. My how the mighty have fallen!!! I am going to make a bold prediction. Michigan will win 10 straight and win the Rose Bowl. Hey, we all can dream! hehe!!!

oh Alexandre, if you could only feel the pain of the last two games on campus, it hurts.

I guess the campus has livened up a tad bit after today's little victory over the Fighting Irish. Hopefuly, Michigan will correct the fumble bug and continue to improve on Defense and at OL. The next two games will determine the type of season we are to have. Hopefully, we can overcome PSU next week. They are looking very tough.

Go Blue!! Let's destroy the Nittany Lions!

Thank you to my friend maguo1, you gave me the confidence to put $$$ on Michigan and it paid off.

If our defense is back on track, I think Michigan will rebound nicely, winning at least 7, perhaps even 8 or all 9 of its remaining regular season games. But one good game vs a not-so-good Notre Dame is not enough to make a believer out of me. If we can manage to beat a very good PSU team next week and then, beat NU on the road, my faith in this team will be restored.

you guys are gay as hell

Braylon Edwards > A2Wolves6

Braylon Edwards has 2 TD on yesterday's game to help the Brown win over the Bengel (51 to 45).
One of the TD is a beautiful "catching & sliding" into the EndZone.
Check the NFL.com or Youtube for more video

I think it all rests on the defense's shoulder. I mean, yeah Mallet is a friggin freshman (darn froshies!!!!), but mostly what's killing us is our defense's inability to stop people. The offense will be great again once Mallet gets used to the system, and Mike Hart will the amazing as always, but our D needs to kick it into high gear or we're screwed.

I really hope the defense starts working and we win more games. Its seasons like these where it just takes 2 or 3 and a whole storied program can come crumbling down just like that. That better not happen to Michigan, because it would honestly be sad IMO.

to A2Wolves.....
