Like I said. 2-10.

wow 2nd down and 1 at like the 15 yard line and they fcked that up. just wow

Stunned, just stunned.

i had tears out of frustration/pure sadness. we are now the joke of the big 10 and i hate how many michigan state fans in my classes (high school obviously) will be so obnoxious about it asdfhsak.

I don't even know what to say. :(

I gotta give A2Wolves props. He picked 2-10 to be a contrarian, but its turning out to look exactly right...

Do you think fewer people will apply this year given the football team's struggles? I think that being a powerhouse would drive up the number of apps, while having a year like this would be negative publicity.

Hopefully - it'll help filter out the stupid people that pick a college based on its football program.

I have heard that a school being poor in athletics ( mainly football ) could switch a student to choose a school good in athletics as well as academics. Due to the college life experience/ school spirit.

sure, ivy league schools (maybe not stanford) are a great example of people not applying because they want a school good in academics and athletics.

Good call A2Wolves. Whether your intentions were pure or not is another matter altogether, but Michigan does indeed suck this year. I still think 2-10 is highly unlikely. But 8-4 or 7-5 is just as unlikely. 5-7 or 6-6 is far more likely. 4-8 is also very possible. Oh well, I guess we'll have to be patient and wait until 2010 or even 2011 for a good season.

Depends on which offensive team shows up on game day...

Btw, how bad is Threet hurt?

Threet hurt his elbow but the injury's not serious according to RR

MSU and Northwestern now designated blackout games...that was pathetic. Luckily I had to leave at halftime to go home. I stopped at my place to pick up my clothes and backpack and was stunned to see the rest of my roommates already back from the game. I don't think a single person in my seating group made it past halftime (alcohol believed to be a factor.) They told me the score was 24-10 so I didn't bother putting on the radio on the way home. The one second I was flipping through the stations I heard "Sheridan intercepted" and just figured it was hopeless.

Bleh, I have a ticket to Penn State next weekend, kinda glad I won't be able to make it out there now. We lose by 30 points.

Yeah, the Penn State game could be brutal.

Wow, yeah, we are going to destroy you in Happy Valley this weekend. I was going to say this toledo game was an upset, but it's becoming quite the norm for Michigan to lose at home these days. I hope Joe Pa takes out 9 losses of anger and has clark put up 70 points on the wolverines.

Well, I know you have a low opinion of sportscasters and sportwriters, but the Big Ten Network announcers opined that the Toledo game was a bigger upset than App State. If I understood their justification, they said App State was an acknowledged powerhouse in their division....whereas Toledo has been struggling in the MAC. I don't know if I agree with them, because this year people knew Michigan had some vulnerabilities, whereas going into the App State game things were different. I know both losses stank, from a fan standpoint. LOL

JEC, didn't Michigan beat PSU 10 straight years? Either way, PSU should have a field day with Michigan. Not going to be perty!

Please stop talking about this....it's too painful.... death of Michigan football 08.

Sports are a HUGE part of the college experience and life after college. I'd say it's "stupid" if you don't pick a college that has competitive sports, because you're missing out on a lot.
