I applied EDI to Tufts, and I got an email this week asking for my school to send in mid-semester grades.

Does anyone know why I got this?

1) I'm an idiot, and I was supposed to send this in all along, I just forgot about it.
2) They ask everyone who does EDI to send in 9 week grades.
3) I'm right on the border between getting in and not getting in and they need 1 more piece of info.
4) Something else.

Would appreciate any help/answers

Hi, I also applied ED1 to Tufts, and they ask everyone who applied ED1 for this.
When I toured the campus last summer I was unsure about whether or not to apply ED because I wanted my first semester grades senior year to factor in. I asked an admissions counselor about this and they told me that Tufts asks all ED candidates for mid-semester grades.
Sadly, it doesn’t mean anything in terms of admissions!
Though I’m wondering if I need my guidance counselor to actually fill out the form–we’re on Thanksgiving break right now and I do have my official report card.

According to the email I got today, your guidance counselor can fax it as late as Dec. 1, so you should be back from break by then, and hopefully that will give him/her enough time to do it.

My letter said it needed to be received by Dec. 1, so there’s no need for you to worry quite yet.

Thanks for clarifying what it meant… too bad it doesn’t mean anything significant haha! Best of luck!
