Mid-table Admissions Decisions?

<p>I just submitted my application to Smeal at UP (09/03) and I was wondering when I'll hear back.</p>

<p>My stats are probably average/little below average for Smeal:</p>

<p>2000 SAT (720CR/610M/670W)
3.65UW/3.91WGPA
Good ECs (though those don't really matter for Penn State)
Decent personal statement/letter of rec</p>

<p>Anyone have an estimate of when the kids who could go either way with admissions will get notified? Anyone current students remember their time frame? I know it's said top 20% and bottom 20% will usually know sometime in Oct., but no one says anything about the 50/50 kids. </p>

<p>My daughter falls into the 50/50 kids. She applied in October and heard back early January that she was accepted. She is a freshman and loves it there. We are OOS. </p>

<p>You can look back at old admission decision threads and see when people posted their decisions. Sometimes they include their “numbers” and which college they applied to.</p>
