Mid year and final report

What exactly are these? when and how do we submit them?

YOU don’t submit them, your guidance counselor does through the Common Application School Forms. See:https://recsupport.commonapp.org/link/portal/33011/33014/Article/1688/Submission-order-and-when-to-submit-Mid-Year

The mid-term report is the transcript that’s generated at the completion of your first semester of your senior year. Your high school sends it to the colleges to which you’ve applied. In most, or at least many cases, It’s the final report of grades that you’ve earned before admissions makes its final decisions. It is transmitted directly by your high school to each college. My sons’ high school required a list from each senior of the colleges to which he applied, and a small fee for each transcript sent, and they then took care of the process. If I recall correctly, this was facilitated through a connection between the Common App and Naviance. This may differ from school to school, I guess. I only have experience with one high school.

The final report is your final transcript, sent to the school to which you accepted admission. If you are on waitlists, you may also have your high school send the final transcript to those schools, as well.

All of these documents must be sent by the school to the institutions (usually directly), as they must be official copies delivered in such a way that the student or other persons couldn’t tamper with them.

If you have other questions, your guidance counselor should be able to assist you.

thank you for clarifying this for me.
