<li><p>For one of my schools, they require the mid-year report, and it says on their website that if they don't receive all the required documents, it will be a disadvantage to me. Problem is, my school doesn't finish first semester until after the deadline. What should I do since I won't be able to submit the Mid-Year report on time?</p></li>
<li><p>I was deferred from 2 of my selected colleges, and I was wondering whether it is a good idea to write an additional essay to these colleges. I wanted to talk about why I really want to attend here and why I would be a good fit. Is this a good idea and will it help me, or is it pointless and show desperation?</p></li>

<p>Don’t do it. They didn’t reject you, so don’t take your deferral as a sign of incompetence.</p>
<p>just contact the school and let them know your school’s policy. my first marking period grades came out later than my ED school required them and my guidance counselor just called them and let them know it would be late, but coming on X day around X time so please look for it then. you’re probably not the first person this has happened to, so they should understand.</p>
