Mid-year Report

Does GU want the semester grades from accepted students? I'm kind of worried because this semester was pretty tough and I'm experiencing an extreme downward trend from last year....

Under what kind of circumstances would GU revoke one's admission? Can't believe i have to worry about this..

I would guess that they would revoke admissions immediately in the case of a criminal charge or school-related penalty. But as far as grades are concerned, I think that the college will contact you if they are concerned about your dip in academic performance.

I'm hoping they only require a final transcript, so i can improve my grades next semester..
wors case senario of semester would be 2Cs and 1B..oh god

It would have to probably be something big and stupid to get you thrown out of Gtown after acceptance. Like bigtime senioritis in easy subjects (or ones you've done well in previously).

I wonder if you could appeal if they made the decision to kick you out?

I also wonder why I'm thinking about this, I haven't even gotten my letter yet

If you are an RD application and start getting C's, "forget" to send in your mid-year grades. But to get admission revoked you need failures or widespread deficiencies.

I'm an accepted EA applicant, does that mean i'm not required to send one in?
I'm definitely going to try even harder second semester, so i can have an upward trend...

Even if you are an EA admit (like myself), I believe you are required to send one, just to make sure you are still studying and that you give a damn about school.

I emailed the Admissions Office: everyone (including all of us admitted EA people) is required to submit a Midyear Report form.

yup i called too, definitely need to send one.
i'm guessing gtown wouldn't revoke anyone just based on their 1st semester grades right?

alright, my school has trimesters. 2nd trimester ends in march, so would i just send in my first trimester for mid-year report? I plan on slacking a bit this trimester...

I'm applying RD by the way.

you should call the office, the mid-year report is due Feb. 10th though.
