Mid-year reports scare me...

I'm becoming a very frequent poster here but I can't help it, lol. I really like the school plus this college discussion sections tends to be the nicest (hope its that way at Oberlin!).

So anyhow... I don't know about everyone else but mid-year reports are freaking me out. I will likely have 3 Bs and 3 As (not horrible but one of my worst turnouts), technically it is 2 Bs but 1 class counts for two grades (rrrrg). And my class rank will likely drop, greaaaaaaat.

Does anyone know how much importance is placed on these things? Are my grades horrible enough to prob. get me rejected?

Typically, most top LACs merely want to see grades hover around the B and A range. It also depends on the student. For example, Oberlin may easily admit a B average student, but if his grades drop to all Ds, then clearly there is an issue. Likewise, if an A student has grades that drop to all Cs, then there's an issue.

Typically, staying in the A and B range will keep you in. Just don't tank.
