Zorgoski, I just saw you got into MIT as well. Wow! Woooow.

Where are you from, Zorgoski?

I just got an early regular decision acceptance letter from Midd! It was sent on March 6th, but it took a while to get here as I am international.

That could be but since the ltr about how they consider applications was stamped 2/25 and yet it wasn't received until mid march, I can't be sure the delay was due to international status. And seriously.. it seems unusual that this would be RD and yet there has only been one (international or not).

Modadunn, I don't really understand what you mean...

Zorgorski said he got an acceptance letter yesterday that was postmarked March 6 and remarked that the delay in his getting it may have been that he was international. I said that this may be the case (his delay was due to international mail). However, the letters sent to applicants from Midd about how they evaluate applications were postmarked feb 25 and yet didn't arrive at our house until the middle of march (and we live in the US).

I guess I was just wondering if anyone else had gotten acceptances postmarked March 6 as RD or is Zorgoski an EDII applicant?

I admit I am confused since there is all this talk about early writes all over these boards and I can't really keep them straight regardless. So.. was this an early write RD OR was this a delayed acceptance to EDII due to international mail... ?

no, they are RD decisions - three or four others also had RD early writes postmarked March 6 on other threads here....I guess the Middlebury post office just has some issues

Right.. there have been a few.. but only a few as you too point out. Given that the demographic of CC usually has it's fair share of high achievers, I was just curious if there are indeed issues with the post office OR, in the end, only 3 or 4 of CCers got early writes from Midd.

Not that it really matters in the end.. because assuredly the end is pretty close.

I'm Chilean and currently studying in BC, Canada.
My only guess on why it took so long for the letter to arrive is because I'm international and both Middlebury and my school (Pearson College) are in fairly rural areas.
Just to clarify, I applied RD and as it's been said, there have been some other acceptances like this as well...
Cheers

mine was postmarked march 10...so maybe they dont send them all out at once

Well I got an early write from Bowdoin today (which is cool) -- but still nothing from Midd. I'm more nervous and less nervous at the same time.

Congrats AkDave. I suspect the reason you are less nervous is because you have an in at at least one really great school (of course you could have more but I only know of this one). It certainly takes a lot of pressure off.

I'm sure you've all figured this out by now ... but just to make sure:

Package: large, March 10th stamped shipping date.

Comes with booklet on Middlebury, visiting info and AWESOME letter (cool, personal info.)
-letter is headed MARCH 6 (hence the confusion between the stamped and the noted date.)

This is RD early write.
I received ~March 14

Hope that helped. Luck to you all.

Modadunn: right. Happy about Bowdoin -- but still dying to hear from Midd.

AkDave, congratulations! I'm still waiting to hear from both Bowdoin and Middlebury, but I think my chances are very slim for getting an early write. :(

Not to be redundant, but all this waiting is killing me.

second, LaMariposaAzul... I can't stand this anymore! got into four schools but nowhere that I want to go, just places I knew would throw money my way... Midd's going to be a heart-breaker I think, yikes

only 9 days left now!

i think my early acceptance was post-marked on the 10th and arrived on the 12th...i really appreciated the personally written letter from the Dean of Admissions!!! good luck to everyone else still waiting, i hope you all have good news in a few days

under 7 days -pressure is on.

still feels a ways off...

I think I've been waiting for so long to hear back that I can't quite believe that the time has actually come...
