Hey CC'ers I hope you all received good news. I was accepted at Lawrenceville and Middlesex, but I am an international student and cannot go to the revisit day.

I would like to know what are the biggest difference between those two schools and which one is better for a science/Math guy.

The biggest diffetence is the size of the student body. Lawrenceville is 2.5 times as large as Mx.

Lawrenceville is a bit more well known because it’s older, but academically both are well respected among the top universities.

LAWERENCEVILLE I think the classes will probably be better and I like the lawerenceville campus better.

Yeah go Big Red :-D

Idk much about Lawrenceville, but I can tell you that although Middlesex has great Math and Science departments, I think our Humanities/English Departments tend to be much stronger. International population at Middlesex is also comparatively low compared to most of the other top notch boarding schools.
The year when I was accepted I remember there was only something like a 9% international student population. Also as aforementioned Lawrenceville if much bigger.

But… Go Zebras…! haha

Depends on the school defines “international.” At Lville, US citizens living abroad are considered international, whereas at Exeter they count as US citizens.

There are just relatively less students with international background. I mean there’s still a very moderate amount from all corners of the world, but comparatively less. This is a map of admitted pool of students this year:

Not that it’s a good or bad thing, just a factor you can think about i guess
