<p>short answer: it depends.</p>
<p>i’ve had classes with 0 - 3 midterms over the course of the quarter. if there are 3, one of them is before the drop date (crowell/chem 6b did this). if there are 2, you MIGHT get lucky. with 1 or none, you’re out of luck.</p>
<p>Midterms vary by professor. Usually they assign them week 3 and week 6. The deadline to drop a class without a W is at the end of Week 2 so it very unlikely that you will see your results before the deadline. However, the deadline to drop classes with a W is much later (end of week 8 I believe).</p>
<p>^That’s incorrect. The deadline to drop a class without a W is the end of Week 4 and the deadline to drop with a W is the end of Week 9.</p>
