<p>Hi, I just began my third quarter and I did badly on one of my Calc tests... My school reports both the quarter and the semester grades on our transcript but I was wondering if midyear report also includes the grades for unfinished courses. I ended my senior year first semester with all A's.. But considering that my counselor hasn't submitted my transcript for midyear yet, would my third quarter grade affect my admissions?</p>
<p>GCs don’t generally report interim grades on the midyear report, just the ones that will show up on your final transcript for a course.</p>
<p>That said, colleges are well within their rights to request a grade report at any time. If that is past the midterm point, they can request to see those grades, although this is far less likely than it was for ED/EA applicants. Basically, if you’re borderline, they might ask to see third quarter grades, and their definition of borderline is known only to them. So never, ever slack, until you see that acceptance letter.</p>
