i know its said that midyear reports are important , but I mean how much so?

for most people who live in the north, semester only ends at the end of january.. meaning midyears get there around mid febuary

some people have told me that bad/lower than your normal grades will possibly keep you out... but that great grades arent going to help that much as colleges just glance at it to see that ur being consistent and working hard

am i wrong?

(my grades are better than ever for senior year... im just wondering if this will significantly help me, or will just be glanced out )

Applying from Canada, my mid-year report will probably arrive in late February.
My grades dropped a little, but not significantly . . . I've gone from about an A on the Canadian grading system to an A- average.

stonecold, actually that was a query of my own meant for someone, not an answer. But i guess Mid-yr does matter for RD's. From what i hear though, ur SAT and Secondary school rep are more important. ur ESSAYS R THE MOST IMPORTANT!!!

Midyear is important if you're RD, especially if you have a rising grade trend throughout HS or are a borderline app. Students mature academically throughout HS at various times, some later than others. so so grades -> great grades in hard classes over time can look very good.

more than fine. I had mostly Bs and a couple Cs haha. that's not true I had As Bs and Cs. grades seriously don't matter, just pass with some class and do well on your APs to get that credit. Like we have said earlier--if you do well enough to get AP credit that you actually should be working for, you'll do well enough to get a decent grade (B) in the class.

so if i don't send my mid yr report now, nothin's goin to happen... i dunno... i think Seniorities is here to stay for all EDers then... it can't be that easy though
