I have 4 general questions. The first being the admissions expectations for transfers, how military-friendly Rice is and whether or not that sort of diversity will increase my chances of acceptance, whether or not they accept credits from the American Public University system (I tried finding that school on the collegetransfer.net and couldn't), and lastly, whether or not I should take the ACT or retake the SAT because my score is too low.

I served 4 years in the Air Force, I'll be using my GI Bill and the Yellow Ribbon program to pay the tuition. I was an intelligence analyst and I'm hoping some of my military background/life experience makes me unique among other candidates.

If Rice accepts transfer credit from APU then I'll have 31 credit hours with a 3.875 GPA. If they do not, then I'll have 21 credit hours with a 4.0

My high school rank was 28 of 721 (top 3-4%)
Non-weighted high school GPA: 3.69
Weighted GPA: 4.47

I didn't take the ACT and looking at this school I'm noticing my SAT scores are lower than I would like (below) should I take one of them to try to increase my score?

Overall 1890
CR: 630
M: 650
W: 610

And the only AP exam I took was English Literature, I received a 4

Honestly, I'm open to any advice or knowledge you may have to share =]
