Milton Waiting List

Hi, I was placed on the waiting list for Milton, and want to do everything that I can to get admitted. Does anyone have suggestions, know the chances of actually getting off the wait list, or about how many people are placed on the waiting list. Thanks

I would suggest letting them know that you are very interested and would definitely go if you were admitted. Yield (number of students who say they will attend/number of students to whom they offer admission) is important to all prep schools. As soon as you receive the card asking if you want to remain on the wait list, return it. Then call your AO after 3 or 4 days to make sure he/she got it, restate your desire to go, and ask what additional things you might do to enhance your chances (e.g. call from current head of school or principal touting your strengths, additional accomplishments since your application, etc.)
It is not an easy road, but the more interest you show, the better chance you have.

I was waitlisted at Milton too, and I really really want to attend! I’m also going to try to do everything I can to get off the wait list. If not, I’ll probably re-apply next year.
