Mini heart attack about language requirement and the ONE obscure pre req for Wom St.

Alrighty. So as I'm poking around Assist I notice that for my major, Womens Studies, at UCI there is a language requirement that says the language needs to equal the sixth quarter of UCI's language class. However, the articulated class on Assist for my school is listed as Spanish 202, but the actual class at my school is Spanish 102. The IGETC just says Spanish I or higher. Did I make a mistake?
I'm just worried I didn't fulfill my language requirement. I got into UCR but I don't know if this varies from school to school.

Also, I thought the only pre req for my major wasn't offered within 50 miles of me, but now I just found it at Santa Monica college. This is specific to UCLA's pre req so I'm just worried by not taking it, I really screwed myself, even though my major is in very, very low demand. Any thoughts?

Well not sure about the UCLA prereq. but don’t stress out about the language requirement. All humanities majors are required to take 6 quarters or 4 semesters before graduation along with the english series, philosophy and history requirements. They are in place to make you more well-cultured and don’t need to be met prior to transfer (according to a counselor in transfer admissions). They are in place to help you make a smooth transition towards graduation in two years.

Ahhhhh Thank you!

I was really more worried about the UCI pre req as that is the school I am leaning towards so that calms my nerves. I just thought I needed it done before transfer.

^ Nope… just guidance to help you be most efficient when choosing classes to satisfy IGETC. Might as well kill two birds with one stone.
