lol very true ^ and i think harvard said that 90% of their applicants are qualified. and everyone they accept is qualified. but "qualified" is a very loose term, as EVERYONE they accept is qualified including presidents' children, recruited athletes, etc. The bar for qualification is not very high.

Yes, i take the hardest classes...and no, i don't think anyone from my school has a 4.0 unless you take all standard classes. We weigh our classes with -'s and +'s. I have an above-average weighted GPA though 0.o

I really hope I won't get rejected because of my GPA :(

I'd be curious to see the actual numbers. I know they'd never reveal the lowest SAT score or GPA they've ever accepted. Plus it would be different for people of minorities or people with connections. 90% of the applicants probably are qualified. They didn't say they only take qualified applicants though. I've met a couple people who aren't. But that's politics for ya.

Do you think that a person with a great personality and is a very amibitious and passionate person still able to get into an ivy league school with an exceptionally poor gpa of 3.2 unweighted?

auliab, unless your ambition and passion have resulted in some very tangible and impressive accomplishments, a 3.2 won't get the job done. Princeton, for example, has a 2.7% acceptance rate for students with UW GPA less than 3.5 (Source). You can bet that the students accepted in this range are hooked.
