I just found out that the minimum wage at Yale is $11.50/hr.
Woah! I wish I could make that much this summer!

source? `

it’s true lol. most people make at $12.00.

Yeah… I know… I’m getting a job freshman year… Even in the acceptance package, it said Yale’s min wage is 11.50 ish… saying that work-study was possible with their generous financial aid package…

I can already do the math… 12 bucks an hour, with 10 hours per work week, and 4 weeks per month is generous pay for an undergraduate with no skills.

My source is an email they sent me…

Student Employment Opportunities

Whether you want to work under a federal work-study program or need some extra spending money, there are plenty of jobs on campus. Employment opportunities at Yale include paid internships at local non-profit organizations, positions at day care centers in New Haven through Dwight Hall, working with reptiles at Yale’s Peabody Museum, and doing paid research with a professor. Regardless of where you work, the minimum wage on campus is $11.50/hour, with ample opportunity for wage increases as the semesters go by.

Nice! This is very interesting.

Yup. Yale’s FA is very generous. After the first wave of FA students get jobs, there are plenty available for others who just want to make spending money.

Haha money is always a nice thing…

New wardrobe!!! Whoot!!!

I make $13/hour at both of my jobs.

120 a week is pretty sweet :)

I earned enuff so I paid for all my books, beer, spending $ and Spring Vacation and trips to CA to visit my GF. It was nice …
