Minneapolis College Decision

I am a currently senior currently trying to make my final decisions on a college for near. I plan on majoring in marketing or some form of business administration.

I am all about building up a resume, I am currently a customer service lead and would like to use my experience and education to jump into a career.

I made the mistake of not apply myself throughout high school so I don't have all the options I would like. I scored a 26 on my ACT, and will be graduating with about a 3.2 GPA. Although my senior year average is around 3.8. I have partipated in a few EC's including DECA so I certainly don't have first pick of schools or scholarships.

I am currently considering 2 main schools, and I had thought I had made up my mind on Augsburg, but I have been swaying between there and Hamline. Since lately I have gotten the impression that Augsburg isn't a well known or respected school. And the only reason Hamline is not the front runner is because they don't have a marketing major.

Any recomendations or advise would be greatly appreciated!

You know that MN residents get equivalent of MN in-state tuition at schools in the UW System? I don't think that you will get into UW-Madison, but you might want to consider other branches of UW.

I was actually hoping to be a bit closer to home, minneapolis is only about 20min from where I currently work and I would like to keep my job. Any other suggestions?

bump-------

You MIGHT get into UMN, but you have absolutely no chance whatsoever of getting into UW-Madison. (Average admitted GPA is 3.8; average ACT 29)

I really don't think there is that much of a representational difference between Hamline and Augsburg (I'm from Saint Paul). Go to the one with the program you feel the most comfortable with.
