I know there is a seperate school for Poli Comm that I think you have to apply to from the begining.

I want to major in International Relations and I was wondering if it's possible to have a minor or a double major in Political Communications from GWU?

You can't double major in poli comm from another school. If you start in SMPA as a Poli Comm major you can double major (get a second degree) in the Elliot School, but Elliot School kids cannot double major with Poli Comm. That' part of what makes Poli Comm so exclusive.

Also, there is no Poli Comm minor. Confusing, I know. They just try to keep it as exclusive and small as possible.

If I were you, if you are interested in Poli Comm for sure, apply to be a Poli Comm major. You can do that as an entering freshmen or during sophomore or junior year, I don't remember.
