I was planning on double-majoring (dual-degree-ing?) the Plan II honors program with the Special Education program. (I cant accept the offer of admission yet, because my parents are waiting on the financial aid package pleaseee scholarships please)

On MyStatus it states my major as Special Education. However, I believe I have to go to Orientation as a Plan II major, correct? Should I change my major on MyStatus to say Plan II instead, or wait on that? Do I have to accept my offer of admission first? Does it affect scholarships at all?

Your MyStatus page will NOT reflect your admission into Plan II until you are actually a student at UT (Late August, September). In order to sign up for orientation, you MUST accept UT’s offer of admission by paying your enrollment fee. Once you accept the Plan II offer of admission (from that link they sent you in the letter) and the UT offer of admission, Ms. Scalora(Plan II Director) will send you a very very very very very long email confirmation a couple of days after giving you all the information you could ever possibly need about Plan II or Ut or Double Majoring/Degreeing, etc.

I don’t know if accepting the Plan II or UT offer affects getting scholarships at all, sorry :(. Plan II gave me a scholarship and I received notification of it after I had accepted my offer of admission but I really have no idea if accepting the offer has anything to do with it. Correlation is not always causation.

I hope this helped! Feel free to contact me with more questions.
