I plan on taking up a minor in addition to my finance major. Do most students at SLO have minors as well, and what do any of you know about the communications studies program or the foreign language program at SLO?

you mean business administration major with a finance concentration! something that's very common is double concentrating for the business majors, like accounting, informations systems, management, marketing, international business, etc.. a lot of BUS majors minor in econ..
i'm not sure about those other programs.

<<you mean="" business="" administration="" major="" with="" a="" finance="" concentration!="">></you>

Lol, yes. I've taken up the habit of saying "finance major" as a sort of shorthand and it carries over to my typing here on CC. What's your major btw, if you're even at SLO? If you are one, and you're a biz major, I would love to here some info from your perspective on the school. I figure the concentration in finance is about the closest I can come to getting an undergrad degree in the subject, aside from the finance major offered at Fullerton. And I definitely don't wanna go there. So, I only really plan on applying to SLO, Cal, and worst case scenario, UCLA econ, so long as my grades stay above 3.8 at CC that is.

I'm going to be a biz major primarily because it's the most practical choice, and if I'm going to be working my way through college, I better choose the biggest bang for the buck, in salary terms that is.

business admin with a concentration in int'l business at slo!
