What say you about the MIS program and the business school? My son seems to think it’s a fit and I like how they push internships.
Thanks.

The MIS program at UA is excellent. It’s one of the areas in the B-school that UA is most proud.

If I were you, I’d send an email to Dr. Sharpe, the current dean of the Honors College, who is also a prof in MIS, and ask for his input. His email is: ssharpe@bama.ua.edu/email

Here is a blurb from a recent MIS event… (you might want to contact Ms. Watkins)

*For those who are unfamiliar with the program, The University of Alabama has one of the Top Five MIS programs in the nation. The program has a low student-to-faculty ratio and top of the line computer labs and facilities open exclusively to MIS majors. Students graduating from the program enjoy virtually 100% job placement upon graduation.

MIS graduates from The University of Alabama are among the highest paid college graduates.

Sincerely,

Found this on UA’s website…

*Why is UA’s MIS program rated at the top?

The program is consistently rated among the top five nationally among other MIS programs. Real Education, Real Experience, and Real Results sustain this ranking. Superior faculty and facilities provide Real Education. Corporate partnership projects give students Real Experience that carries over into careers. The projects link classroom curriculum with the partnership projects to succeed in producing Real Results.*
