I submitted an application for Cal State Long Beach just few days before. On my high school transcript, my 10-12th gpa was 3.55. But when I did the gpa calculation on their school website, I had 3.65. So I put that on the application.
Then today, I realized that I accidentally counted an extra honor course so when I recalculated my gpa on their calculator, it turned out to be 3.59.
I already submitted my application. what shoud I do? I heard some say that it doesn't matter because the school recalculated it anyway? Would this negatively affect my chance of getting into this school? Should I contact the school or is it not a big deal since I would have to turn in my transcript for them to recalculate it?
Also which one's the correct one that I should've used? 3.55 or 3.59?
Sorry for the mess, but I'm so confused and nervous.

why did you feel the need to recalculate the gpa? if your high school’s transcript says 3.55, then why not follow that?

why would a school report a gpa that isnt accurate? hmm?

what i would do is to contact the college and say you made a mistake and say your gpa is 3.55

I thought for some reason they followed a different gpa system from our school because our school has block schedule system.

I don’t understand your third question? I never said my school reported an inaccurate gpa. I accidentally counted another honor course and that turned out to be inaccurate.
Anyways, thank you for your help

Definitely call. You don’t want them to think you were lying.

alright but im still slightly confused
i give them the current 10-12th gpa rite? even if that doesnt include my 12th grade gpa? (which im in right now)

Usually when colleges ask for the GPA on your transcript they’re talking grades 9-11. You can’t include senior year because you probably haven’t even finished your first marking period yet ! For senior year, most schools ask for a mid-year report.
