Miss Hall's School

I was accepted to Miss Hall's as a new sophomore and I was wondering whether someone could tell me more about the school and/or their opinions on the school. Thanks!

Hi Strwbrry,
My sister went to Miss Hall’s a number of years ago and it was wonderful. She became very confident and still has a many friends from MHS. The teachers went the extra mile, as I recall. She went to a reunion there this summer and was very, very pleased with the development of the campus (which was always gorgeous.) I wish I had more recent, firsthand information, but my impression of MHS is excellent.
Best wishes,

Looking back on when I first decided to apply to Miss Hall’s School, I cannot believe how far my life has come since then. Coming into a class of girls who had already had a year to bond, and being able to be my class’ Vice President by the end of the year is a opportunity I am thankful for everyday. Making that one decision to apply here and having everything fall into place has landed me here at MHS. When I first drove onto the campus I wondered if pulling into the front circle would become an everyday occurrence for me, and it has. When I applied to Miss Hall’s I struggled with how I would let them know who I was. But as the application process continued, I found that while writing my essay, and coming in for my interview, that the people here made it possible for me to be myself and feel at home.

After being accepted to Miss Hall’s I was thrilled, but as the start of the school year approached, nerves did set in. That was when I first heard from my Big Sister who turned out to be one of my closest friends. She answered all the questions I had and guided me through my first few day of school, as well as the many firsts I experiences in that year.

At Miss Hall’s there is a requirement that each student must participate in at least one team sport, or both the musical and the play. I was nervous about trying out for a Varsity sport, but I had always loved to play Softball so I wanted to give it a try. I ended up making the team and it was one of my best experiences here so far. Our team was like a family and when faced with any problem, the team supported each other wholeheartedly. Celebrating the end of the season with a remembrance of all the amazing moments of the season only made me more excited for next spring.

With all the many different things Miss Hall’s offers, it is also important to remember that academics are important as well. Classes are challenging and fun, interactive and interesting, and the relationships students have with their teachers are unique and special. Teachers are always there to lend support and guidance in and out of the classroom which is unique to MHS.

Miss Hall’s is an amazing community, school, and home for so many girls.

I hope that this helps you get to know what it’s like here a bit better. I can’t really imagine being anywhere else…
