Due to a serious surgery and hospitalization for a parent, mine, D grandparent, we missed getting a form in that was due to financial aid office on Jan 25. It is Smith college. Will there be any chance they accept it late? I am devastated that we may have blown it for this school
Call Smith…and ask them.
They will tell you what the implications are…if any.

I think you will be ok. I have not had any interaction with Smith, but I have talked to other schools about deadlines for those documents and they all accepted the documents after the deadline. I am sorry about your parent. Good luck.
They “didn’t accept the online version”? Are you saying Smith requires all admitted students to send in paper copies of the IDOC documents…and no one can submit them electronically?

Yes they require a paper form. (Not our only school that didn’t accept electronic)
Give them a call. Do you have all the documents now? Can you get them in the mail tomorrow?

@swtaffy904 Would advise you to get documentation of the surgery to provide. These deadlines are no joke, and while I feel for you and have been there myself, these schools are so used to hearing every excuse that I’d have paperwork to back mine up. We had serious medical issues crop up in our family as well, and we were able to get a letter from the neurosurgeon, on the group’s letterhead giving a general overview (so and so had emergency surgery on such and such date, please call if any additional verification is needed with their phone number). This information was sufficient to satisfy an airline, so I imagine it would work for your needs as well.
