This is going to seem really silly, but do you think that I’d still be able to apply even though I’ve missed the deadline? My school didn’t send my transcript which led me to believe I couldn’t apply, so I didn’t. I e-mailed the office and I intend to call as soon as it opens tomorrow.

I’ve got all my essays written and the supplement ready, and I’m really upset about the whole situation.

If I make a good appeal to the office, might I be allowed to apply late?

Thanks!

It doesn't hurt to try.

I assume you can't apply via the Common App online anymore so you'll need to mail your stuff in via your school.

jneohio- i definetly think you should do it as soon as possible & then call them but also attach a letter explaining your fault because I made a mistake and didn't send my revised essay for the supplement but I sent a letter explaining my unprofessional mistake, and then I sent them an email and called as soon as I got back to school. In my luck, they received the email before vacation & told me that would be completely fine. Just make sure you do it as soon as you can! Good Luck!

will agree with both previous posters.

call. giv it your best shot. be polite. and i think it should work out.

Yeah, hopefully you called yesterday. The people who answer the phones at BU at probably the nicest people I've talked to over the phone. They'll understand your situation.

I called other schools before and had the person give me horrible attitude and started yelling at me so I just didn't apply to those schools. I'm not going to pay $30,000 for a school that has no respect for perspective students.

Hey everyone! I e-mailed the admissions office and was told that I should send in my application as soon as possible. I'm submitting it tonight!

Thanks for the advice and help!! :)
