I was online checking the application status at the school's my son applied to and one of the schools has only some of the items that were mailed in the same envelope. For instance the school report and grades were mailed together. They have the grades, but no school report. I mailed our 2006 tax return and the 2007 w-2's together. They have the w-2's, but not the tax return.

I hope all the schools don't mess up our info. Now I have to ask the school to mail another copy of the school report. They weren't thrilled the first time, I can imagine what they will be like the 2nd!!!

Just needed to vent!

Call the school before you ask for duplicate info to be sent
It is likely they have it but have not logged it into the application status web site. That was the case when my son applied. They have 100s of application folders to organize so it does take time. Most schools don't start reading the applications until February I have been told

I did call and they told me to send another copy...

They always tell you to send another copy, because it is easier than for them to go through all of the files looking for your misfiled paperwork.

Unless you stapled everything together in the same envelope, it is very possible for them to have misfiled stuff.

I wouldn't be surprised if while you were calling and asking about some missing form, the person talking to you was distracted and misfiled someone else's report that came in. Stuff happens.

I had the same kind of experience last year. We had it happen with all 3 teacher recommendations at one school. Needless to say the teachers were not very happy to do them again.

Sorry if this doesn't sound pleasant. Several of us have been through it.
