<p>Ok...they say I am missing transcript, school rec, teacher rec...but those were sent about the same time for my ED for Penn...how come they havent received them yet?!? Is there a delay in their data entry or something?!? Those things were mailed out early november</p>
<p>i highly suggest talking to ur guidance counselor. she/he would be hte one who sends these out...atleast thats the way it works at my school. make sure ur guidance counselor sent them in and ask when they sent it in. they received all of my materials four days after i sent it all in- so i guess there is a delay but it definitely shouldn't take more than a week. talk to ur counselor.</p>
<p>i called in my school before i posted this, and they checked my file and said they sent everything nov 24th...but i remember they sent it with my penn ED app...but anyways, it still does not explain why they say my teacher rec is not there...Penn received the same rec way back</p>
<p>Patience, my friend. If your school sent out your transcript on Nov 24, the day before Thanksgiving, it has only been (at most) 5 working days. They may have received it but not updated the online database yet. Michigan gets about 25,000 application each year. It may be a bit slow in the front end. Give it a few more days and check back with them again.</p>
<p>but that still dont explain the teacher rec...do you think maybe it's still because of the lag? even tho the teacher rec was out early november?</p>
<p>One of my friends missed a teacher rec for a while...he had to send it in twice!</p>
<p>I presume your teacher used the U-M teacher rec form, with your full name and social security number?</p>
<p>It might get lost in the mail, or they might have misfiled it (it's happened before).</p>
<p>In any case, I'd suggest you wait a few more days and call them again. I know from experience that they can't tell you a thing over the phone if it is not updated on their computer.</p>
<p>If your transcripts get in and the teacher's rec is still out, you may have to ask your teacher to send it once more.</p>

<p>i just got an update from umich...everything is in except the teacher rec...I am probably just goin to send them another teacher's rec, since the other teacher's being so slow about it.</p>
