Missing Orientation = Tragic?

I won't be able to attend any of the CAS summer orientation sessions in June or July, and thus it looks like I will have to attend session "F" at the end of August. My concern is that most of the classes be filled up already and therefore I'd be stuck with only the few openings left to choose from.

I called the advising office and the admissions officer on the phone there told me that there would be a lot of classes still open, but I'd be limited mainly in the time of day for courses. Does anybody here have experience in having to go to the late CAS Orientation and getting screwed on their first semester freshman course selection? Or am I just overreacting?

I would not worry too much, there are many other people in your situation. They also open up more spaces for the main MAP classes throughout the summer for each orientation so students get a fair shot at getting the classes they want.
