Well I don’t know because I never knew how to check the status of financial aid documents, but I submitted all of them on time. They never contacted me if it was complete or if something was missing… @blacklist

Did anyone get a second PFAA email today? I was going to fill out my FA email this weekend, but why are they sending me 2 emails in 4 days? :-/

@collegeluva101 Because it’s still not filled out? I don’t think it means anything significant.

@collegeluva101 Same here.

I think you’re in, @collegeluva101.

Ah, never filled out PFAA. No email. Congratulations on the rest of you guys, but beware, one or two you might get waitlisted.

So Princeton Financial Aid still ain’t figured out they letting people know a week in advance? From what I can see this thing is like four years running.

Any other schools like this? Yale?

Woops, just realized the error in my last post. By “fill out my FA email this weekend”, I actually meant fill out the PFAA this weekend. And, thanks guys, though I think it’s still too iffy to tell, but fingers crossed! Good luck to you all!

<a href=“Email on missing PFAA - Princeton University - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/princeton-university/464828-email-on-missing-pfaa-p1.html

This is the thread about the same thing, but from 2008. I checked the replies of people who said they got the message, and many of them got in, many of them didn’t mention if they are accepted in later replies, but I also see some got waitlisted. So it does mean that you might have gotten waitlisted. As someone mentioned in the thread, there are too many people getting the email if it were to be the indicator of “acceptance”. It makes more sense to be acceptance + waitlist. Maybe you wanna check the thread out.

I filled out the pfaa. Is this just for the pfaa or are people getting specific emails about documents?

@Classof2018app It’s just for the pfaa for now, but I also guess you’d get an email from Financial Office if you miss other financial aid documents. If you didn’t miss anything, of course you won’t get any email. But if you missed PFAA or something else and still hasn’t gotten an email, it might indicates rejection according to the past thread from 2008 (the url I linked). But getting an email doesn’t guarantee acceptance, because there was a person on the thread who got the email but got waitlisted.

Didn’t send W-2’s etc or their financial form. Didn’t even know about it unless sent a long time ago and don’t remember. I called yesterday to ask if too late to submit after seeing they needed w-2’s etc mailed and the lady in financial I felt had an attitude of as if she didn’t care if I sent it in or not knowing I was worried sending things in the mail. Let’s just say she either just isn’t a nice person in general or she knows the application was a reject not even wait-listed if I am calling on March 22 and have to ask. If that helps anyone or future applicants, my experience. Ill try to F/U if I remember to let yas know if what we think is true.

I know that I am missing some financial aid documents. Since I haven’t gotten any emails, it probably means rejection. Tbh, I’m not surprised, since Pton is a big reach for me

If you get a likely letter from brown and cornell. Does that mean u have a shot at princeton. One day they called my counselor requesting my ap scores. I just want to know if I can hope

@fiske2009 whenever a hyper selective school inquires further into your application versus simply rejecting at the first look it’s a good sign. Good Luck!

Despite all of the neutral to positive suggestions on this thread, I’m still super cautious about it all.

Princeton is such a long shot for me—as my SAT scores and GPA simply do not seem to reflect the quality of Princeton’s pool of admitted students.

Here’s to dreaming, though!

Fingers crossed, though; we’ll see how this shakes out in 5 days.

on a related note, I got an email(from pfaa@) acknowledging my tax return submission abt a week after I sent it, saying they had added it to my file. Does that mean anything? I guess they send it to everybody, but they must still have been considering me at least, right?

@lordsum I got that email too when I submitted through email a bunch of financial aid documents. I think it’s generic, but that doesn’t mean we can stop hoping and dreaming! Always positive! ^_^

Submitted PFAA today and will submit additional documents tomorrow.

Now we wait . 3 days, 19 hours, 20 minutes.
