Did anyone else get this?

Hi! I got an email last week from the Princeton Financial Aid office saying

“You indicated you intend to apply for financial aid but have not yet submitted the Princeton Financial Aid Application (PFAA). This form is available on the Web at https://finaidapp.princeton.edu/app/loginFreshman.jsp. Although the deadline was February 1st, applications are still being accepted without penalty.” This was addressed to me with my name but that was the only personal thing about it.

Did anyone else get this? My parents immediately filled out the supplement and sent it in, but I wanted to know if this is a good sign or a generic email they send to everyone. I checked previous threads and some people thought it was a good sign while others thought it didn’t mean anything. Does this mean anything? Thanks!

If any positive correlation existed in the past between receiving this letter and probability of admission, there isn’t any longer. It may be that not all information has been sent back and forth between the FA office and admissions, thus generating the letter.

Thanks @Cantiger

Yeah I got that too for a few schools. I don’t think it means anything.
