Prayers that they find her safe and for her family during this time.
Such a cute young lady

Which remindes me, a future UA student died from heat exhaustion in Houston area over the weekend. His future roommate posted the news on the groups FB. Tragic!

Yes, that is the one. My D said his future roommate posted it was heat exhaustion. I googled as well and found one article that did not say that and not sure how.
So sad

I read last night that on the girl in Alabama that they have had people get out of the water and be wandering in the nearby woods for 1-2 days. Praying that she was able to get out.

Guess we need to remind our kids that if they are going to float in the river to not use inflatable rafts, tubes or such. And to wear a life jacket.

Thank you, Class2012Mom for posting the link. That young man was my former neighbor. Lived right around the corner and went to school with my kids. I had not read the paper and likely would have missed this. I did not know his family well, but I am still grateful to know what happened. How tragic.

Prayers for her family but also for her sorority sisters. It’s very hard to lose a member and these ladies will need lots of prayers and support as they return the first week of August for work week. I know that several CC posters have girls who are members of AOPi sorority…sending you all prayers and hugs.

My son had a former high school classmate drown in a similar way. These times need to serve as a reminder to always wear life jackets in those kinds of watercraft…always.
