Missing Transcript

My D received an email last night that UNC hasn't received her transcript. Has anyone else received the same email. My D is freaking because she has no way to contact the school over the weekend and not sure anyone will be there next week. UNC said it had to be to them by the 13th. She took a picture of her report card and emailed it to them even though we know that will not suffice. At least they will see her grades.

Ask the school to fax it to them first thing Monday morning.

I was like a day late faxing something earlier and it wasn't a big deal.

That sounds scary though.

I am sure this happens all the time with many schools. The transcript either was lost in the shuffle at UNC or your school might not have sent it. Don't freak out, check with your school on Monday and get it sent as soon as possible. If for some reason your school can not get it out before the due date, just call UNC and explain. They might want a copy of her report card, or they might just say sent as soon as you can.

This probably isn't a big deal. I doubt she will have to miss her first semester because of this, it isn't her fault the guidance office of her HS didn't send it.

Thanks everyone. Faxing it is a good idea if anybody is working at her school next week. She emailed UNC a photo of her report card so I hope that will hold them over until they get an official copy. Just a little more admissions anxiety!

Same thing happened to me. I went to my high school's registrar office today, and was told that my high school won't even recieve our final transcrpts till the end of this week, and they won't be mailed out until July 17th. I called the admissions office to tell them the situation, and they just made a note in my file and told me it would be fine.

Yesterday my daughter went to her high school and they asked if she was there about Chapel Hill. Not a single transcript from her high school was received by Chapel Hill and they were resending them all (48). They were sent out in two different batches the first time so they thought it was really weird that none got there. At least her problem is solved! Thanks for everyone's help and advice.

Wow this all stinks!!!
