mistake in app, reject?

Ok, mostly all the colleges I am applying to only look at 10-12 grades. These are all the UC's, and stanford and princeton.

Columbia was one of the only two schools that look at all 4 years. However, I was so used to putting my 10-12 GPA, that I forgot about Columbia looking at all 4 years, and so I put my 10-12 GPA on the Columbia App too. Of course, I specified in the section where you put the years that the gpa/rank covers that it was the 10-12 GPA.

How bad will it be? Will Columbia think I am somehow trying to cheat them because my 10-12 GPA is higher than the 9-12? Auto-reject?

Wasn't your counselor supposed to fill out that part of the application? I don't recall having to calculate my own GPA... and where in Cali do you live?

I really hope you didn't apply ED. your transcript will show what your true gpa is and this will look bad. call the admissions office and let them know what's up. also fax a letter.

/>//?????????????

this is for RD.

anyone else have any suggestions

***? I applied early decision and in no place did I ever have to write down or calculate my GPA.

the application isn't even due until a few weeks. just fax them a correction and call them about it. it's not that hard.

what are you talking about screwed hopeful?? I dont think we have to calculate our gpas?? Am i missing something?

the counselor writes your GPA....

oh...ok. Now i get it. I guess they might just assume it was the counselor writing the GPA, insead of you. So i would not worry too much about that.
