Mistake on UC online application

After probably a dozen re-reads by myself and my daughter, she submitted her UC application this morning. About an hour later I took another look at the printed receipt and found that she made an error in the number of hours posted for community service. The app. asked for number of hours per week, and for her volunteer job at a local nursing home in 10th grade she wrote 5 hrs/week - it was supposed to be 5 hrs/day, about 4 days/week. Since she worked for 6 weeks, the overall difference is substantial. Is there any way to change this before the deadline? And do you think it will matter in the long run? Dd’s stats are not that great - decent GPA, average to below average test scores. The test scores are low because she has a slight learning disability, but she never qualified for accomodations because her GPA is too high (this was addressed in her Personal Statement #3).

Appreciate a quick response - thanks!

I would get it changed -- although ECs are minor in the scale of the UC system, it may tip it into her favor.

Email the UC Pathways people and see if you can get it changed..

Who would you e-mail? I checked "Contact us" and there are two selections: "for general admissions questions", or "for technical problems with application". Which would you choose? And is this the quickest way to notify someone?

Thanks for your quick response!

You probably want to call the admissions office. That's faster than e-mail, obviously.

If you were to email, it'd be for "for general admissions questions" not technical which is computer/internet related
