Mistake to apply to 2 divisions?

In this sort of market, is it okay to apply to multiple divisions at a bank? ex. S&T, IB, and AM?
Or would it be looked down by recruiters as indecisive?
I'm torn because on one hand, there will be so much competition from other job seekers, so it'd increase my chances much more to apply to 2 divisions. On the other hand, indecisiveness could also cost me the application.

I actually had 1 recruiter told me that it's okay to apply to everything and they'll understand. But another one told me that she'd frown upon something like that.

Your thoughts are much appreciated.

Thanks

I applied to IBD and Research for almost all of the firms I applied to. I've heard that as long as you have a reason for applying to different divisions, you should be fine. For me, I've talked to analysts in both research and ibd and like how there is somewhat of a similarity between them (I've talked to an ibd analyst and a distressed debt fixed income research analyst at ms). I think as long as you know why you want to do each division and can answer the question of why you applied to multiple divisions, you should be fine..

its tough.. in such a competitive market, banks want someone who knows what they want to do. While there is some overlap, for the most part they are very different. As someone else said, just have a good reason for it (you will be asked in an interview if you get one).
