MIT Chances?

<p>I've made all A's except AP english
Only AP class was english because thats all that I could take</p>

<p>SAT:
Math: 680
Critical reading: 670
Writing: 590</p>

<p>Physics: haven't taken but estimate 650-700
MathII: "</p>

<p>Oh, and 5.025 on a 5.0 scale--2nd in the class</p>

<p>AP Lit: 5</p>

<p>Extracurricular:
1. Pilots License
2. Youth band
3. UIL</p>

<p>I gave myself about 20%.</p>

<p>Any other estimates?</p>

<p>i hate to tell you this, but 20% is a large over estimation, when you have 680 in math and a total of 1940, youre just not going to get in unless you save someone from a fire, or survive chemotherapy or something</p>

<p>you still have good stats though, look at less selective places like carnegie mellon, northeastern, and Boston U</p>

<p>To be honest, MIT is out of your league. If you’re an URM, you have about a 2 percent chance. If you’re unhooked, you simply wont get in.</p>

<p>Go ahead and apply, though, if you really want to go. But know that your 20% estimate is highly skewed from reality.</p>

<p>hmm… i agree with everyone up there cuz MIT is MIT they look at the MATH alot… you should definitely raise that score… i’m thinking 15%</p>
