Hey guys! EA applicant here. I was wondering if there is also a deadline for EC interview reports? I had my interview on the 16th, but my EC has not submitted a report yet. Should I be concerned about this with Nov. 1 so close or am I overreacting?
@mer377 Hey there! I’m a kurd too haha
Does anyone know what the word limit for additional information is? Can we just assume that if it shows up correctly on the preview, nothing will be cut off?
@lp3575 After much trial and error, I think it’s 590 words? That’s where it’s been cutting off for me - it won’t save anything I’ve written in the add’l comments box if I go over that. Try saving what you have in additional comments instead of basing it off of the preview. xP
C/O 2021 hopeful here…
My application is done, but one of my teachers hasn’t finished the rec letter yet and I’m afraid I might have to RD because I don’t think it will get done by tomorrow either
I’ve had to postpone it all this time waiting for that check mark for rec letter #2 but it hasn’t come. I’ve even talked to her last week!
@shumpu123 don’t worry, they accept teacher recs up to like 2 weeks late
If I’m applying Early Action, does my Financial Aid Application have to be filled out too by November 1?
Oh wow, that’s great to hear! Thank you you eased my stress!
@7YearsPerHour , you can submit that by February 15th
http://mitadmissions.org/apply/freshman/dates
scroll down all the way and you will find that all the financial aid stuff is due by that date.
@shumpu123 Thanks, I was worried cause the language sorta makes it look as if it is due with your application.
If you read the latest entry in the MIT admissions blog most of those questions are being answered there.
guys, we should make a group chat to get us through november-march until decisions come out!
Where ? @desideratum
I can’t stop stressing out about all of this… When will EA decisions be out?
groupme! pm me emails if interested ^-^ you can also join from sms, but a phone number is a little too personal to share.
and also, i know this is super stressful, but just know that you all are incredibly talented people who dare - i mean, it’s already a huge accomplishment applying to mit! no matter where you all end up, i’m sure that you’re all going to be successful because you’re resourceful and intelligent students and great people
I just took the SAT again today but unfortunately do not think my RW score will improve. I may have to settle with a 680 which will probably be my greatest weakness, especially since the middle score range may be [740, 800] for New SAT RW. Still, I’m glad that my greatest weakness is just a semi-poor RW score.
I can’t wait to get the decisions back. I know it sounds corny, but I honestly feel so honored to even be considered for something like this
I want to wish you all good luck! I will be applying EA next year when I am a senior and am keeping my fingers crossed for you all.
Is there a date yet for when EA decisions will be posted? I saw last year it was Dec. 16 but the year before, it wasa Dec. 13. I vote for Dec. 13 this year!
No exact date listed (as far as I can see) but MIT website says "Early Action applicants will receive an admissions decision in mid-December " – seems like should be by Friday Dec 16th.
I’m yet to see an official date but I would guess it would be a pretty similar date +/- 3 days
