MIT Class of 2022 applicants

@apple1893 I’ve started doing some research at the local university and it’s been fun!
Gonna take my SAT IIs before the year is out. Anyone else doing chem?

@delux I visited the Boston/Cambridge area over spring break and it was great
After a lot of visiting places I feel much more at ease with applying.

Its been great, just got a paid internship offer at the NIH.

I just requested to join the Facebook group. Howdy from Texas!

Hooray, I’m a texan who moved to HK, applying from HK

I’m planning to apply EA as well!! I really hope that I can be admitted! I am applying EA as well.

EA too! Coming from NCSSM I’m worried I’m gonna get hosed because we had 104 applicants to MIT this past year and only 8 or 9 got in. But I’m hopeful I’ll be one of those 8 or 9 next year  Best of luck to all! Just requested to join the FB group too.

@admiral12 for a single highschool that’s actually really fantastic. Good luck nonetheless!

@OMPursuit Yeah, it also makes me skittish seeing all these fantastic candidates get declined. Same situation with all the other HYPSC/ Ivies etc but I’m hoping I’ve got what it takes! Good luck to you as well!

The 2017-2018 prompts are out. Same as last year

Did anybody else apply to WISE? (weekend immersion in science and engineering). I applied and I know I probably didn’t get in but aaaaa the suspense is killing me. Pretty sure they’ll be sending out acceptances/rejections in about 2 weeks.

I’m hoping it wasn’t only for URM/first gen/low income students, not that I don’t think a program for those students is great, just that I spent ages on that app so I hope I’m at least being considered :stuck_out_tongue:

I mean, I’m an URM in some ways, but not racially which is what URM seems to usually mean…

Good luck to everyone in all things MIT-related!

Time to revive this thread!!! I just sent out my email requesting an interview

I’m getting nervous for my interview. I actually do better when I meet someone face to face but my interview would be a Skype interview…any advices?

@equality4all Treat it as though it’s a face-to-face interview, even though there’s computer screens between you. My interview was in-person, so that’s all the advice I have to give for a Skype interview. Good luck if you haven’t had it already!

International EA applicant from Brazil here! Good luck to y’all!

Also a International EA applicant. Since I’m from China I guess I will finally get a deferred or rejected. Applying MIT is just like buying lotteries!

Good luck everybody! The next month will undoubtedly be nerve-wracking. Hoping for the best in December.

At least the subMITting part is out of the way

Anybody from EA submitted any portfolios?

ye, i submitted a research portfolio

If you guys did interviews, how long were they?
