How important is it that this has to be a unique topic? I wrote an essay about swimming, but I’m afraid that its cliche.
It’s more important to be honest, than attempt to be unique. I wrote mine about weightlifting and running. It might be cliche but it’s something I’m actually passionate about.
If it reflects who you are, then it will not be cliche.
Most people who try to be unique end up being cliched.
