MIT Regional Information Session-questions

We live in a western state and MIT is having an information session in our area tomorrow. The invitation says, "You'll meet an admissions officer and local MIT alumni and hear all about MIT from a variety of perspectives."
Has anyone here been to one of these sessions? If so, what was it like? How did people (parents, students and MIT reps) dress for the event? How formal/informal is the info session? Is it mostly people from MIT speaking? Question and answer? Informal mingling?
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

The one my d and I went to had the opportunity for q&a, but it was mostly a presentation by admissions officer – including video, slides. I think it was worthwhile.

These sessions are worthwhile for you for two reasons: first, you will hear about, and have the opportunity to ask questions about, MIT-related stuff not always evident from brochures and the website; second, IMO there’s value in meeting the admissions counselor who will be reviewing your application (puts a “face with a name”). Dress comfortably; you’re not being interviewed, but don’t stand out. This session is a marketing exercise for MIT; they’re recruiting!
