No go for MIT.

maybe for MIT, but it is a big reach

eh, i dont think you'll get in mit...those APs look pretty low. it looks like you're good at math but those 1s 2s and even the 3s just look too low. good luck anyway

you dont have to report your AP scores, so dont, or jus report the good ones, and everything else is plenty high to make MIT within reach. I say it was definitely worth applying, you have as good a chance as anyone. And you're fine at all the UC's. Two of my friends just got in to USC with half-tuition scholarships with less than what you have there, so I think you are in great shape.

USC your in...I do no enough about the rest of the schools...

numbermaster:

UCB/UCLA: Match
UCSD: Safe Match
UCD/UCSB/UCI: Safety
UCSC/UCR: Super Safety
MIT: Reach
USC: Match

ah crap, dudes. i've sent all my ap scores to mit before i even knew i was applying there, lol.

You just screwed yourself over majorly dude. Those AP scores are beyond horrible, in fact, I think you only passed like 2 of your 6 AP's. A 1 on AP Chem????? A 630 on Physics SAT 2???? Those tests are cuved so generously too!!! Sorry, MIT is a most probably a no go based one your math and science fallacies, but hey you never know unless you try.

which of those schools take into account AP scores?

and... could u guys give some percentages? i dunno what reach/match/safety would be.

Since the SAT II Physics mainly involves basic math, a 620 is going to appear really bad to schools like MIT. The APs also have the potential to destroy your chances for admission; I don't know anyone applying to exclusive schools who has taken that many and still failed to score above 3 on a single test.

Although you're clearly decent at math, 100.5 on the amc and 4 on the aime aren't going to impress anybody at MIT sufficiently to make up for the other weaknesses in your application. I think it's an extreme reach.

On the bright side, you're in for sure at several UCs, at the very least. You have a good shot at USC as well.

don't send in your AP scores. if you already did... you're kinda screwed for MIT

MIT is hard to get into.

"MIT is hard to get into."

News to me!

your IB grades are a bit low too so don` t report them. you should be getting atleast a 6 on SL subjects.

wow a 4 on the AIME after you just squeaked with a 100.5 (.5 over) on the AMC12 thats impressive, im one of the top math students in our area and I only got a 1!!. Some of your scores are good, but idk about those AP scores, thats really killing you.

I don't mean to be harsh, but why you'd take all of those AP tests and REPORT THE SCORES.....

Should've reported the Math SATII and retaken the Physics one, taken another SATII that you could score better on than a 610.

Maybe. But those APs... aye.... sorry...

well, i put mit in the 4 free schools to send it to before i knew nething bout how it might affect me. so we've somewhat concluded that im screwed for mit. what bout the other schools?
